The TT685 II N is built to operate seamlessly with the Nikon system, allowing users to take advantage of several automated flash settings and utilize features like sync up to 1/8000th of a second. With an impressive guide number of 60 m at ISO 100, the TT685 is capable of effectively illuminating most photographic situations. Powering Method
The flash unit relies on four AA batteries, delivering around 330 full-power flashes and a rapid recharge cycle from 0.1 to 2.6 seconds. For more power-intensive uses, an external power port is included for the connection of power packs, such as the PB960, which boosts the flash output for expanded options – making the flash exceptional for covering weddings, fashion, reportage, and more. For easy future software updates, a USB Type-C port is incorporated.
X Wireless System Integration
With an integrated 2.4GHz X radio system, the TT685 functions as either a flash transmitter or receiver, facilitating flexible lighting setups extending up to 100m. It supports 32 channels and up to five groups. Apart from serving as a transmitting unit for V1, AD200Pro, and AD300Pro flash systems, it can be independently operated through X1, X2, XPro, and V1.
User-friendly Design
Unique to the TT685 II model is a TCM (TTL Converted to Manual) function that enables immediate switching from TTL mode to manual mode, a feature that helps establish the correct exposure setting swiftly – a handy aid when setting up external flash systems in manual mode. For user-friendliness, the rear LCD panel clearly displays the flash settings, while the flash itself includes a 2.5mm sync port for basic wired connections.
Zoom Capabilities
The flash head features automatic and manual zoom properties, ranging from 20mm to 200mm, allowing for a customizable and adaptable light beam. Suitable for use in expansive or contained spaces, the TT685 II is certain to be a reliable performer.
Adaptable Flash Angle
